My Adjusting Approach

My approach is slow, attentive, and respectful of your body’s cues.

Every visit is individualized. Some days your body may respond best to traditional hands-on adjustments with gentle, precise movement. Other times, we may use instrument-assisted techniques, drop-table methods, or subtle sustained holds to support alignment without force.

Techniques are modified for age, bone density, past injuries, and comfort level. The goal is not just to create movement, but to support your nervous system so changes can integrate comfortably and safely.

Whether you prefer lighter techniques or are comfortable with quicker adjustments, care is always collaborative and adapted to you that day.

Do you work with children/minors?

Infant Chiropractic Care

Yes. Birth — even when beautiful and uncomplicated — places significant pressure on a baby’s head, neck, and spine. Cesarean births, inductions, long labors, or fast deliveries can also create subtle tension patterns in a newborn’s body.

Infant chiropractic care is very gentle. Adjustments use light fingertip pressure — often no more than you would use to test the ripeness of a tomato. There is no forceful twisting or cracking.

The goal is not to “treat” conditions, but to support healthy movement and nervous system balance during a critical stage of development.

Parents often seek care when their baby shows signs such as:

  • Favoring one side or difficulty turning the head
  • Body tension or arching
  • Difficulty latching or feeding comfortably
  • Persistent fussiness or difficulty settling
  • Signs of digestive discomfort

By improving mobility in the spine and supporting nervous system regulation, babies often become more comfortable, coordinated, and at ease in their bodies.

My approach is slow, attentive, and respectful of your baby’s cues. If your baby needs a pause, we pause. I encourage ongoing collaboration with your pediatrician and other healthcare providers. Chiropractic care is complementary and supportive — not a replacement for medical care.

How many sessions are typical before I see results?

It depends on the nature of your concern, how long it has been present, and how your body responds to care.

Some patients with recent or acute discomfort may notice changes within the first few visits.

Long-standing or chronic patterns often require more time. When the body has adapted to stress or injury over months or years, restoring mobility, strength, and nervous system balance is a gradual process.

After your initial evaluation, I will discuss a personalized care plan and expected timeline with you. We regularly reassess your progress and adjust recommendations based on how you’re responding.

The goal is meaningful, lasting improvement — not just temporary relief.

How much does care cost?

I am a cash-based practice, which allows me to focus fully on your care without insurance limitations or rushed visits.

New Patient Examination: $200
(Comprehensive assessment and first treatment, if appropriate)

Chiropractic Visits:
• $70 – 15-minute session
• $120 – 30-minute session

Therapeutic Massage:
• $250 – 60 minutes
• $375 – 90 minutes

The number of visits recommended depends on your goals and the nature of your condition. Acute concerns may require 2–3 visits per week for several weeks. Chronic patterns may require a longer, more gradual approach. We reassess regularly and adjust your plan based on your progress.

Package options are available to reduce the cost of ongoing chiropractic and massage care.

If you have questions about what may be appropriate for you, I’m happy to discuss this during your consultation

Why don’t you take insurance?

I am a cash-based practice so I can prioritize clinical judgment and individualized care over insurance restrictions.

Insurance companies often limit visit length, technique options, and frequency of care. By remaining out-of-network, I’m able to recommend what is truly appropriate for your body — not what a policy dictates.

This model allows for longer visits, integrative treatment approaches, and care that is tailored to your goals.

If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide documentation for you to submit independently.

What makes your care worth the investment?

Care here is comprehensive and individualized.

Each session may include chiropractic adjusting, soft tissue therapy, nervous system support, and movement guidance — thoughtfully integrated based on what your body needs that day.

Rather than brief, high-volume appointments, I offer focused, one-on-one care designed to create meaningful and lasting change.

The goal is not just symptom relief, but improved function, resilience, and long-term well-being.

Is chiropractic covered by insurance?

Many insurance plans offer out-of-network chiropractic benefits, though coverage varies.

Because I do not bill insurance directly, payment is due at the time of service. If you would like to use out-of-network benefits, I can provide a detailed receipt (superbill) for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

If you’re unsure about your coverage, I recommend contacting your insurance provider to ask about out-of-network chiropractic benefits.

What do you specialize in?

I specialize in:  Instrument assisted adjusting, Thompson Drop, and Diversified chiropractic techniques, along with therapeutic massage, cupping, muscle scraping, and energy work to support balancing your nervous system.

–Intuitive Cranial Sacral Therapy (working intuitively to unwind the body where it holds tension and/or buried emotion, encourage the natural ebb and flow of cerebrospinal fluid, and clear/repair the energy field)

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes and yes. Both for chiropractic and massage.

How should I prepare for a Massage session?

Things to keep in mind:
Cancel your appointment immediately if you feel sick, have flu-like symptoms, have a contractible disease or fever. You will be refused service if you are sick.

-You should avoid eating 1 hour prior to massage. This prevents feeling nauseous while the therapist compresses/moves various tissues.

–Wear loose fitting clothing if you want a sports massage (involving stretching and increasing range of motion)

–Remove necklaces, make-up, jewelry, and contacts (you may be face-down in a headrest, which may irritate your eyes with contacts)

-Limit/avoid alcohol and recreational drug use after a massage session – your body is more susceptible to external stimulants/depressants after a session – you may quickly experience intoxication.

Can I stop the session if I’m uncomfortable?

Absolutely. You can stop the session at anytime. Depending on the circumstances you may still need to pay for entire the session.

What is cupping?

Cupping is a myofascial technique that uses suction cups to  increase circulation to a dense area on the body, and depending on the session and the intensity, it can be uncomfortable and feel like intense suction or a pinch in tense areas. Cupping may also leave red – deep red marks on the area called petechia. It is up to you to communicate with your therapist your level of discomfort so they can modify the level of intensity. If you are concerned about the reddening of the area you can ask for a lighter cupping massage – the therapist can use much lighter suction and constantly move the cups, rather than keep them stationary.
*It is not recommended to have cupping if you are on blood thinners. If in doubt, avoid this modality.

What is gua sha/muscle scraping?

Gua sha/muscle scraping is a myofascial technique that increases circulation and lubricating fascial tissue by using a smooth edged tool to apply pressure in a sheering pattern to the area. There may be reddening of the skin with red “flecks” called petechia. The reddening should dissipate in time.

What is your energy work like?

My energy work is a gentle, hands-on (or hands-near) approach that supports nervous system regulation and relaxation.

Many people seek this work when they feel emotionally overwhelmed, chronically stressed, anxious, or “stuck.” The intention is not to diagnose or treat medical or psychological conditions, but to create a calm, supportive environment where your body can shift out of stress patterns and into a more regulated state.

Experiences vary from person to person.

Some people feel:

  • Deep relaxation
  • Warmth or subtle sensations in the body
  • Emotional release
  • A sense of clarity or lightness

Others simply feel rested and grounded afterward.

You do not need to have any special beliefs or sensitivities to benefit. The focus is on helping your nervous system settle so your body can access its natural capacity for healing.

Energy work is complementary and does not replace medical or psychological care. If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, please contact an appropriate healthcare professional or call 911.

Are you LGBTQI+ friendly?

Absolutely.

This is an inclusive, respectful, and affirming space for individuals of all gender identities and sexual orientations. My practice is woman- and LGBTQI+-owned and operated, and I am committed to providing care that is safe, compassionate, and free of judgment.

You will be treated with dignity, respect, and attentiveness — always.

Please feel free to share your name, pronouns, or any preferences that help me support you fully.

What if I need to cancel right before my session?

Life happens — emergencies and unexpected events are completely understandable.

If you cancel at least 24 hours in advance, there is no charge.

For last-minute cancellations or missed appointments, the full session fee may apply. This policy helps ensure that your time, my time, and the schedule of other patients are respected.

If something urgent arises, please reach out as soon as possible so we can work together to reschedule.
